Let me know how you plan to divvy up the magical items.
I'll be out of the country for 3 weeks starting Friday... not sure what my internet access will be. Probably spotty. Going to Germany for annual training.

Going to Germany for annual training. What happened to the Black Tempest(2) swords? Waleed would like the Teak staff and the Defender sword. I think the two Yakmen staves (swarm and defense) would be better used in Ya'qub's hand than anyone elses.

Sounds good to me. What to do about the urn of coins and the scroll case?

Sounds good to me. What to do about the urn of coins and the scroll case? How about splitting it up into 3 shares, 1 fro yaq, 1 for waleed, and 1 for the rest (ship crew, etc?) As for the scrolls, how about this: Inside Ivory Case 1 for yaq, 1 for waleed -----Scroll: Cure Disease (x2) wal -----Scroll: Heal Wound [restore 1 cliché to full] yaq -----Scroll: Restore Health [restore all cliché to full] wal -----Scroll: Remove Curse wal, yaq-----Scroll: Neutralize Poison (x2) yaq -----Scroll: Raise the Dead Inside oiled leather case wal -----Scroll: Protection from Elementals This spell creates mystical barrier that blocks the passage of elementals. TN 25 to pass

Qwik post from Chicago airport before I board...
The black tempest swords are +2 pips, made from obsidian. They shatter when 50% of dice rolled are 1's. They're very likely to break unless wielded by a competitent fighter.

....and I'm about to leave for vacation to a spot where service will be spotty, if I'm lucky. I'll check in when I can, but don't expect to see me before a week from Sunday.

We'll try to keep Ya'qub out of too much trouble... no promises though.

can we get a list of what we've found so far. More than likely we'll(Ya'qub) sell off all the ivory in order to pay the Rubban and his crew and make ourselves a little profit, but what of these antiquities you speak of? It's been so drawn out over time I've forgotten what we've found, etc...
eta: do you mean magic items when you refer to antiquities?

It's been so drawn out over time I've forgotten what we've found, etc... eta: do you mean magic items when you refer to antiquities? Yeah, any of the items that you pulled out of the temple... Down a short flight of steps is the treasure promised to you by the serpent king Sharaman. Ceramic urns overflow with ancient gold coins, thousands of them. Inside an ivory case ancient parchments imbued with magical energies await only reading to cure disease and wounds, neutralize poisons, and even, the texts promise, raise the dead.
Wrapped in an oiled leather case another scroll promises protection from the elements or elementals, Shari's not exactly sure of his translation.
A teak wood staff carved with intertwined serpents, an ironwood shield emblazoned with a coiled serpent, and an ivory handled scimitar complete the reward.
"It is all yourssss," Taj says.

okay, so we should probably declare all the scrolls except the raise the dead and the elemental scroll.

It's been over a month Mike Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, and any others I may have missed! I've been overwhelmed lately, trying to push through the last of this degree. I've doubled up on classes... I'm midway through one and starting my final one tomorrow night. 9 weeks more and its over. Anyway... same ol' story. If it's not my homework, its my children's. Or the Army, or work. I see light at the end of the tunnel, hopefully its an exit to a peaceful beach and not an oncoming train.
