This adventure has some information that will enlighten you on Adila's curse. I strayed from the module on the previous adventure... "winged it" as they say. As written the giants were interested in you as models for their topairy. Players were supposed to spend a month posing for the three sisters for the better part of each day and then be free to explore the jungle in the evenings. Wierd. The authors had heavy role playing in mind because they'd detailed the three personalities... you'd have to flatter the ego of one, deal with the prefectionist other, and the temper of the third. Didn't see it happening.

If we had a large group, then yeah it could have worked, but we're pretty limited here. This adventure has some information that will enlighten you on Adila's curse. As Ya'qub's player can attest to, we had about 20 spam messages on here by a guest. I have deleted them all and have now changed the board so only members can post and guests have to become activated to become a member. So we shouldn't have any more spams on here.

I was looking forward to continuing to mock him mercilessly. Alas, poor spammer; we hardly knew ye!

thanks for cleaning that up! I didn't even see it- I had school after work. Trying to finish that silly masters degree. My thesis may be on spam.
What a fruit- why would you waste time spamming a board with 3 active members. Maybe it was a bot.
Thanks for locking down the board. Now, back to the turn...

I got cut off this morning mid sentence when I reached my bus stop... I brought Rasool and Sahra along, but either can be sent back to the ship. I'm not sure if Rasool would stay... but Sahra could be sent back with a quick "on second thought"

While Rasool is removing the brain, Waleed looks about for anything interesting, carvings, glyps, items, etc... sending scholar roll.

Hey Mike, I joined this yahoo group called: RPG_Player_Sanctuary and they have a good amount of emails daily from people looking for games. They have alot of members, like 3000+ I think, so you might want to advertise there for this game if you feel like it, but be sure to let them know you don't post often

While Rasool is removing the brain, Waleed looks about for anything interesting, carvings, glyps, items, etc... sending scholar roll. Waleed applies his knowledge of royalty, first hand and scholarly, and suspects that the serpent king was using this place as a temporary shelter. Nothing else appears to explain his presence in such an unadorned place.

I'm back... sorry for the delay. My employer of almost 10 years was started laying people off. I was fortunate not to have been cut, but for a couple of weeks I was sweating bullets. Hopefully things turn around so there's not another round of cuts. If so, I hear they're hiring programmers up in Prudhoe Bay (Alaska)... ;D And, happy birthday, Ya'qub!

The trip to the Temple is 60 miles through ever deeper jungle. Do you have any intentions of traveling there by means other than walking? Not a suggestion, just curious so I can plan the turns...

Well, since we cannot take the boat and not everyone can fly I guess an overland trek will be in order. We'll have to stock up with provisions at the ship and take a minimal amount of people. 60 miles should take us a week to get there... that's a pretty long. Does Taj have a better way to get there, can we take the boat up river to get nearer the temple location?

. I just wanted to make sure you had a chance to come up with an alternative... Okay, so you have me thinking... I use my air magic to cause something flat, like a rug or flatbottom boat to float in the air and take us (7-9 ppl) to our destination. Ya'qub could team up with me and heat the air beneath us to give us additional lift. I would have 3d6 to roll plus Ya'qub's Team-up roll, could use lucky dice only if I wouldn't have to reroll every round, minute, etc. If concentration rules stay in effect, we could just use one roll for the entire trip there, as long as it was as good one. What would the difficulty be? I'd get a step down in difficulty, so maybe a 15 if a 20 (heroic effort) is required. All of this is moot of course if we have to reroll every turn. I'm hoping you'll let one roll with concentration to remain in effect make ther trip one way at least. Travel time would be about 3 hours then.

I think Waleed's abilities would be sorely taxed trying to sustain nearly a ton of people and equipment for more than a few moments. (~200 pounds per person)
Not impossible, but definitely repeatedly heroic.

Waleed summons forth Saleh and asks him if it would within his powers to transport the group, some 7-10 ppl to a temple deep in the jungle about 60 miles away. Waleed asks him his price, reiterating he is not going to use Saleh as a slave and will pay him fairly; whether it be women (not waleeds), a hour or so of free time, etc...

When I'm not travelling I'm sick; When I'm not sick, I'm travelling. Hopefully, everything will get back to normal now. I just haven't seen a place for me to jump in yet. Don't worry, I will.
